Business Manager – IT Distribution Commercial

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to manage a number of well-known Mobile brands (Samsung, Nokia, LG, Apple, Sony, Huawei) for a leading IT organisation based in the Thames Valley. Having previous Product Management or Business Management experience, your focus will be on Product and Brand Proposition, Marketing Message, and Profit & Loss whilst building relationships with partners at a senior level in ways that will facilitate the delivery of all KPI’s agreed for the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall performance and relationships of Vendor partners
  • Through Vendor, market and product knowledge act as a point of contact for sales opportunities
  • Maintain your knowledge relating to your Vendor’s activity (specifically sales out, profitability, stock handling, aged stock, trading accounts
  • Ensure weekly updates for sales opportunities, lost business and activity in the market by other Distributors and Vendors
  • Agree level of focus and sales mix, with Business Development Managers and Sales Teams
  • Develop relationships with key accounts to ensure that they are receiving the correct service levels and are aware of new products and pricing
  • On a quarterly basis, attend site visits with your top 10 customers
  • Negotiate and monitor rebate targets and work with the Procurement Team to ensure rebates are maximised
  • Hold monthly and quarterly review meetings with all Vendor partners
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and complaint resolution
  • Assess the success of “call out” days to maximise the potential of the sales teams
  • Establish, critique, and regularly review marketing activity, to establish the organisation as the industry standard within the sector

Ideal Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role in the Mobile sector
  • Business / Product Manager experience
  • Previous experience of working for, or with Retail organisations
